Jack Straws Board Game Cafe Belfast

I’m on the Upper Newtwnards road just past the entrance to Stormont Parliament Bulildings and on the right as you head to Dundonald is a unique Belfast restaurant/cafe/coffee shop. This is the one and only Jack Straws Board Game Cafe. As far as I know it is the only such cafe in Belfast if not the whole of Northern Ireland!
About Jack Straws

Jack Straws warmly invites you to grab a coffee, have a chat & if you’d like to, play & compete with your friends/family at a game whilst doing so.
Jack Straws gives you access to 600+ games to which you’re free to browse through & select from. For the non experienced gamers, our friendly staff will be on hand to advise & explain games & their objectives. Through our Game Guru’s we hope to share our passion for games whilst also decreasing the amount of time spent reading those often tedious rule books.
Board games are a great way to interact, socialise & meet new people. We hope to spread the joy of board gaming & to create an awareness of the vast range of games which are out there to all our customers.
We also host events such as Beat the Boss nights, tournament nights & special themed nights throughout the year.
To avoid disappointment upon arrival we recommend booking a table ahead of time. Tables can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance, or further in advance for parties of 8+. Larger bookings can be booked further in advance.
For groups of 8+ a deposit of £30 will be required to confirm your booking. This deposit will be offset against your final table bill on the night you attend.
Your table may be re-allocated if your booked table is left vacant for over 20 minutes with no prior notice.
There is a maximum stay of 3 hours from allocated start time during peak hours when tables are in demand. If it’s not busy you are free to stay and play as long as you like!
Please note all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
